OnStage @ APL presents Celtic Folk Music

Thursday, March 7, 2024

Join Patrick O-Shaun as he guides the audience through a special KelticDead Music presentation.

Selections of KelticDead stories and tunes will demonstrate connections on how Celtic folk music resonates in the American experience.  Those who wish, come prepared to sing along in this special KDM Broadside presentation.

Patrick O-Shaun Young is a video-based storyteller, author, songwriter, and the creator of the web-based, audio-visual KelticDead Music Video Broadsides.  Here, stories are found within the music of Celtic, folk, old-timey, and seafaring tunes that continue to impact the modern world.   Young is a retired audio-visual systems engineer who uses his studio skills to create music-story presentations in the tradition of the 16th Century Broadside formats. These are freely accessible from his KelticDead Music website. Young is recognized within the 2023-2024 Marquis Who’s Who Publications Board for his work with the KelticDead Music initiative.

Can’t be there in person? The program will be streamed live on ACTV. For online, cable channel, and streaming app options, view the Watch ACTV page or use the live streaming link provided in the sidebar.

The library is located at 300 N. Allen Dr. Call 214-509-4911 for additional information.
