Get Started with Biblio+ from cloudLibrary

biblio+ is a video streaming service with a highly-curated selection of groundbreaking films and captivating television, from award-winners and nominees to independent discoveries, thoughtful documentaries, and everything in between.  With biblio+, library cardholders have unlimited access to an ad-free catalog of video content on many devices!  All you need to get started is an Allen Public Library card.

**Please note you must update to cloudLibrary app version 5.7 or greater to access video content. The latest version is 5.9 as of Oct. 30, 2023.

***Streaming video content does not work in Kids' mode.

Streaming Video in the cloudLibrary App

The biblio+ video collection is integrated into the cloudLibrary app. If you are already using cloudLibrary to download eBooks and audiobooks, you already have access to biblio+.   Scroll down the home screen and tap on the blue Movies box. This will take you to the biblio+ catalog, where you can browse the collection and select any movie, series, or documentary to start streaming.  If you are new to cloudLibrary, simply download the cloudLibrary app on your mobile device and log in with your Allen Public Library card number and password/PIN.

Once you have chosen your video, you can either stream it on your device or cast it to a compatible TV.  Select your type of mobile device and follow the instructions to stream, mirror, or cast from your device to your TV.

Accessing Content from the cloudLibrary Website, biblio+ App, or biblio+ Website

  • To access content from the cloudLibrary website, click on 'Movies' on the menu bar in the upper right corner of the screen. If you are not already logged in, you will be prompted to do so.

  • To access video from the biblio+ app, download the app from the app store for Apple devices or Google Play Store for Android devices.  Once the app is installed, create an account using your Allen Public Library card and PIN.  Stream content to your TV using Roku, FireTV, Google TV, or Chromecast.
  • To access content from the biblio+ website, navigate to the biblio+ page and create an account using your Allen Public Library card and PIN.

Android Devices

Android Screen Mirroring
Support for screen mirroring has varied by manufacturer since the feature was introduced with Android version 5.0 Lollipop.  Many phones have a Cast button built into the phone's settings or in the pulldown settings shade.  Samsung phones have a Smart View app to connect and share to and from your mobile device.  Some Fire TV and Roku streaming devices also support screen mirroring, check with Amazon and Roku, respectively, to ensure compatibility for your specific devices.

Mirror cloudLibrary Movies from your Android Device or Tablet using Google Home

  1. Install the Google Home App in the Google Play Store.  install google home app screenshot
  2. Once the Google Home app is installed on your Android device, configure it for your Google account.
  3. Double-check to ensure the target device and the original device are on the same network.
  4. Add the target device (such as your TV) to your Google Home app by tapping the '+' icon in the upper left-hand corner. Add target device android screenshot
  5. From the next screen, select the 'Set up device' option. Set up device android screenshot
  6. Select 'New Device' on the screen shown below, which will initiate a search of Bluetooth devices on the home network. Set up device android screenshot
  7. Google Home will scan for available devices on the home network.
  8. On the "What are you setting up?" pop-up, select the Display option.
  9. Once the target device (such as the TV) is found on the home network, simply tap the device button to begin casting to the device, like in the image below. Then select the 'cast My Screen' button in the lower left corner.  cast my screen android screenshot
  10. Once the target device is mirroring the original device, open the cloudLibrary app.
  11. Select the Movies tile
  12. Find the Movie you want to stream from cloudLibrary.
  13. Click the 'Watch Now' button and the movie will play on the target device.

iPhones/Apple Devices

Stream cloudLibrary Movies from your iPhone or iPad to a TV

  1. Connect your device to the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple TV or AirPlay 2-compatible smart TV.
  2. Click the Movies tile within your cloudLibrary App.
  3. Find the Movie you want to stream from cloudLibrary.
  4. Click the 'Watch Now' button.
  5. Tap the AirPlay icon.  airplay icon

  7. If an AirPlay passcode appears on your TV screen or Mac, enter the Passcode on your iOS or iPadOS device.
  8. The movie will begin playing on AirPlay 2 Compatible TV.
  9. To stop streaming, tap AirPlay icon in the cloudLibray App and select your iPhone or iPad by clicking the checkmark in the white circle to uncheck the device.

Mirror cloudLibrary Movies from your iPhone or iPad to a TV

  1. Connect your device to the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple TV or AirPlay 2-compatible smart TV.
  2. Open Control Center:
    • On iPhone X or later or iPad OS 13 or later: Swipe down from the upper-right corner of the screen
    • On iPhone 8 or earlier or iOS 11 or earlier: Swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen
  3. Tap the Screen Mirroring icon
  4. Select your Apple TV, Air Play 2-compatible smart TV, or Mac from the list.  screen mirror iOS devices
  5. If an AirPlay passcode appears on your TV screen or Mac, enter the Passcode on your iOS or IPas OS device.
  6. Navigate to cloudLibray app and select movie.
  7. Click the "Watch Now' button.
  8. To stop Mirroring your iOS or iPadOS device, open Control Center (see step 2), tap Screen Mirroring, then tap Stop Mirroring. Or press the menu button on your Apple TV Remote.
