Memorial Bench Program
Purchase a memorial bench in memory of a family member or friend. Donations starting at $8,000 would include a bench with memorial plaque, an accessible concrete pad, and all associated labor such as site preparation and repairs. Benches are installed quarterly and are first come, first served. The program is limited to a total of four bench installations per year. Proceeds benefit the Allen Parks Foundation.
City of Allen does not offer any memorial tree options.
Allen Veterans Memorial
Allen Veterans Memorial honors members of all branches of the United States Armed Forces, past and present, with five 18-foot granite monoliths surrounding a 65-foot American flag pole with bench seating. Individuals can honor past or present members of the US Armed Forces in the form of bricks installed twice per year prior to Memorial Day and Veterans Day. Proceeds benefit VFW Post 2195 based in Allen.
This portion of Bethany Lakes Trail is comprised of memorial bricks inscribed to honor a loved one who battled with cancer. City of Allen has suspended addition of new bricks for the foreseeable future.
