Winter Storm Warning: Prepare for frigid temperatures, icy conditions
A Winter Storm Warning is in effect until 6 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2. According to the National Weather Service, widespread icing on bridges and overpasses as well as surface streets is expected with travel significantly impacted. -
Trash collection suspended due to weather conditions
Community Waste Disposal (CWD) has suspended trash/recycling collection on Tuesday, Jan. 31 and Wednesday, Feb. 1, due to weather conditions. CWD will provide an information on the makeup schedule once it's finalized. -

Spring closure at Don Rodenbaugh pools will bring new waterslide, HVAC improvements
Pool areas at Don Rodenbaugh Aquatics Center will close in March while crews perform a major HVAC overhaul and demolish the existing waterslide. Pools are expected to reopen by June; other areas of the facility will remain open during this period. -
Don Rodenbaugh name change approved
After 20+ years of operations, Allen Parks and Recreation’s most-visited recreation facility will get a name change. Following approval by Allen City Council, Don Rodenbaugh Natatorium will officially change its name to Don Rodenbaugh Aquatics Center. -
