Winter Reading Banner 2022: Yeti, Set, Read! Dec 12 - Jan 13

Winter Reading Club begins Monday, December 12! Log your minutes read and book titles read. Make sure to turn in your reading log by Friday, January 13.

Important Dates

  • December 12: First day of Winter Reading
  • January 13: Last day to turn in your reading log 

How to Participate

  • Pick up a reading log from the Children's Desk, Information Desk, or Reference Desk.
    • Youth Winter Reading Club; ages 0-17
    • Adult Winter Reading Club; ages 18 and up
  • Keep track of your reading on your reading log.


What Counts as Reading Material?

Books, eBooks, audiobooks, eAudiobooks, comics, magazines, eMagazines, newspapers, graphic novels, manga, blogs, or anything you can get your hands on to read. You can also count books read to you or that you read to someone else. Visit our Digital Library page for access to our digital content.

Read

Log your books and/or minutes read by January 13 to complete the Winter Reading Club. Reading requirements will vary by program. Please refer to your reading log for details under your specific program.

Youth

For the Youth program, read 300 minutes or 30 books. Log books, minutes, or both! 

Adults

For Adults, read three books or 300 minutes (this is five hours).  Log books, minutes, or both!

Prizes are available while supplies last. Pick up prizes at the Children's Desk.

Youth

Preschool:

  • Candy cane
  • Bubbles
  • Free book

Elementary: 

  • Candy cane
  • Spy pen/notepad or yeti pull-back toy
  • Free book

Teen:

  • Rock candy
  • Vinyl stickers
  • Free book

Adults

Get a tote bag and a coupon for a cookie and a hot beverage from the Food for Thought Market & Café. Adults will also receive a coupon for a free book from the Friends of the Library book sale. Prizes may be picked up from the Reference Desk.
